We celebrate the start of our 2019/20 season with Bartók’s virtuosic Concerto for Orchestra, in which every instrument gets a moment in the spotlight. Webern’s Passacaglia was the piece that launched his career: a fond farewell to the nineteenth century and to the music of Brahms, as well as a foretaste of the radical ideas he was about to pursue.

One of London’s finest amateur orchestras, Fulham Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1958 and performs regularly in London with soloists of international standing. Their performances have been broadcast on Radio 3, and hailed as ‘magnificent … a splendid band’ by The Bruckner Journal, and ‘a quite wonderful performance’ by Bachtrack.
