First Prize and Audience Prize winner of the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition 2015, the Linos Piano Trio has achieved recognition as an extremely dynamic and creative young chamber ensemble.
A landmark of English composition, William Walton’s first symphony was inspired by his turbulent relationship with Baroness Imma von Doernberg, and is by turns tempestuous and jubilant. It was first performed in 1934 when the composer was 32 years old and had established himself as the most exciting young British composer of the day.
